About Us Leconfe
Our Mission and How We Work
Academic conferences are essential spaces for sharing research, exchanging ideas, and building collaborations that move knowledge forward. Whether held on campus or online, these events help connect scholars, spark new insights, and support the progress of entire disciplines.
Our mission is to support these academic communities by providing a platform that makes organizing conferences simple, reliable, and accessible. We want institutions to have the tools they need to run events with clarity and independence, free from unnecessary complexity or technical barriers.
Leconfe is built by a small team that has spent years working directly with universities and understanding how conferences operate in real conditions. We focus on doing a few things really well, listen closely to organizers, improve quickly, and place reliability at the center of every decision.
Being a small team keeps us close to the people who use Leconfe. Every feature and improvement comes from real conversations with campuses, not assumptions. There are no long chains of management or slow processes, just a focused effort to build what institutions truly need.
Our Story
In 2021, we were supporting many OJS users with their journal management when institutions began asking for a simple replacement for OCS, a system that was no longer maintained. We realized academic institutions needed a conference platform that offered the same simplicity and familiarity they appreciated in OJS, something practical, lightweight, and easy for any organizing committee to adopt.
This is how the idea for Leconfe began, a platform designed so that any academic group, regardless of region, could manage conferences confidently without relying on complicated or heavy systems.
Since then, Leconfe has continued to evolve through ongoing development and valuable feedback from a wide range of universities and institutions across multiple countries. Our goal remains constant, build a modern, easy to use, and reliable platform specialized for academic events, shaped by the real workflows and long term needs of the academic community.
We remain committed to building tools that help academic communities thrive, and we will continue improving Leconfe by listening to the people who use it.
