Audience: Authors who also need the Participant role

Short answer: Sign in with your existing Author account, open your Profile, select the Participant role, and save the change. You do not need to create another account.

Add the Participant Role to Your Author Account

1. Sign in to the conference using your existing Author account.
2. Make sure you have opened the correct scheduled conference.
3. Click the User menu in the upper-right corner.
4. Click your name to open Profile.
5. Open the Roles tab.
6. Keep Author selected and check Participant.
7. Click Save.

Your account will now have both the Author and Participant roles in the scheduled conference.

If the Participant Option Is Not Available

• Confirm that you are signed in to the correct scheduled conference.
• Refresh the page, then open Profile > Roles again.
• Ask the conference organizer to confirm that Participant registration is enabled.
